Lindsay Hanekom is a very talented 22-year old 400mh specialist who boasts with the fastest time by a South African this year thus far. His time of 49.03sec over this one-lap hurdle race far surpasses the Olympic qualifying mark, thus putting him in great contention for Rio. Let’s find out more about Hanekom:

Who is your role-model and why? “Cornel Fredericks is my role-model because he is a  and hard-working athlete who has achieved huge success in his athletics career, yet he still strives for big things”
