petro-sa1One of the country’s biggest and most picturesque marathons, The PetroSA Marathon, makes its appearance again on Saturday, 24 September in the Santos Caravan Park in Mosselbay. The prize-money for all races and the IAAF Aims Certified courses are just two of the many reasons why athletes will flock to Mosselbay this coming weekend.

The annual PetroSA marathon that usually draws big names will look to do the same this year with a tally of R255100 up for grabs between the marathon, half-marathon and 10km. The money, however, is not the only reason to be in Mosselbay on Saturday: the course is an IAAF Aims Certified course, meaning it is predominantly fast and flat, Mosselbay is known as a holiday destination, so this will be an early ‘holiday-run’ for many and lastly, many people could possibly better their personal best times in the various distances.

The marathon kicks off at 07h00 followed by the 21.1km and 10km at 07h10 and fun run at 07h15. Be sure to enter before at the various stores, but note that late entries can be done at the race venue on Friday 23 September between 14h00-21h00. For more information, please visit
