This weekend the 2nd of 3 Classic Shootout’s hits us and this time it is up to the sprinters to entertain the crowd. The women will clash in a 150m and the men in a 300m. Defending champion Thapelo Phora will be there to try and keep the title in his name. But he won’t have it easy as lining up this year will be our young Olympian Clarence Munyai! Not only that but seasoned campaigner Lebogang Moeng will also line up to start off his campaign to go to yet another World Champs.

Ranti Dikgale who won the first leg of the Classic Shootouts 600m will look to come and stamp down his authority boasting with a 45.78 over 400m he ran late last year. Training partner Ashley Hlungwani will be in his 2nd 300m Classic Shootout race and will look to better on his position of last year. Constant Pretorius who took the bronze last year will look to make it a gold and possibly chase down that record time of 33.19. As customary in the Classic Shootout races a few young starts are included to test themselves against the seniors. This includes very versatile Rivaldo Roberts and Kefilwe Mogawane who clocked a 50.53 over the 400m Hurdles last year.

You do not want to miss this race come 11 Feb at UJ!
