Blignaut was in fine form and he put it all on the line to throw a massive 20.97m! This saw him finish 5th in the round but made it through to the final with the 9th furthest throw of both rounds 🔥

Shaun Maswanganyi came agonisingly close to making it into the 200m final.

Maswanganyi found himself in the fastest of the 3 semifinal races and clocked a superb time of 20.18 seconds finishing in 4th place. This would unfortunately not suffice and he missed out of the final.

Munyai finished 6th in a season best time of 20.49 seconds. This was unfortunately not fast enough to make it to the final.

It was not to be for the SA athletes in the 200m. Anaso Jobodwana couldn’t get away in the 200m semifinals and finished in 8th place.

Jobodwana’s time of 20.88 seconds was not sufficient to make it through to the final.
